Currently there is an expectation that the DFMs who build dataflows will know
the exact DN strings for all the systems that have NiFi installed that they
build dataflows on.
This results in a poor user experience when setting up S2S as a DFM. Since
automatic account requests are no longer performed in NiFi 1.0 for S2S, the DFM
should be provided an easy way to get the necessary information needed to
establish these connections. In many cases the DFM and Admin are not the same
person.
One suggestion, would be to to provide a new RPG menu option that would return
the DN for the standalone NiFi or All Cluster Nodes. The DFM could then
provide those exact DN strings to the owner of the destination NiFi for
authorization.
Another suggestion is to re-enable the auto account request capability from
NiFi 0.x.
