This is very odd. If you try modifying anything does the "git status"
output change? I ask because, I tried searching for a possible solution and
came across this SO question:

Does it sound like what is going on (up to date but have changes committed)?
Oh ok, from your pictures it looks like there are shadows so thought I'd
