In certain windows environments a high cpu usage can be observed (up to 100%)
even if there is nothing to transport. This seems to be caused by [this
librdkafka issue|https://github.com/edenhill/librdkafka/issues/3139]. We should
apply [this patch|https://github.com/edenhill/librdkafka/pull/3236] and verify
that it solves the problem.
