Thanks for picking up this issue from the users mailing list Mark. If as you 
noted there the issue was to do with the "Inherit" JSON writer not adding the 
result field if there is a null response on the first lookup, would one 
solution be to add a property to choose to force a value creation if there a 
null return? A bit like the "Null Value Representation" of EvaluateJsonPath. 
Options could be Ignore, Null or Empty String?
