Hey [~mike.thomsen] can you explain the benefits / reasoning behind adding UUID
as a new data types for record? Not sure that I understand why we would want to
do this. We should be able to support UUIDs perfectly fine already, as Strings.
There may well be a good reason to do it, but it's not clear to me why we would
need this at the moment.
