# Summary [NIFI-9805](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-9805) Refactors the `DistributedMapCacheServer` and `DistributedSetCacheServer` implementations using Netty instead of direct socket handling. The implementation leverages components from `nifi-event-transport` to provide standard server configuration options and support for TLS. This approach removes a dependency on the custom `SSLSocketChannel` class in favor of the standard Netty `SslHandler` to support mututal TLS authentication. The `StandardMapCacheServer` and `StandardSetCacheServer` classes incorporate current configuration options and provide the Netty Channel Handler pipeline necessary for processing requests and responses.
