When my Remote Process Groups lose connection to the distant end the NiFi GUI
freezes and won't let me stop/start processors or create new objects. I'm able
to interact with the GUI such as context menus but none of the actions go
through. I can use the context menu to disable the RPG but it takes 10-15
minutes for the disable action to apply, lining up with the rest of the GUI
"unlocking". Restarting NiFi does not help to break the connection enough
because during bootup it starts the connection attempt before I can stop the
RPG. I've had success with editing the flow.xml.gz file and changing the RPG to
disabled and restarting NiFi. This happens 100% of the time on NiFi 1.15.2.
