Increasingly ARM based laptops are the norm on the Apple world. I am
attempting to do a release candidate this way in fact.
The ranger portions get skipped because Ranger testing requires particular
native libs. So it is understandable tests wont run. Further ranger artifacts
are *huge* so we dont want them in convenience binaries anymore. But we should
still be able to build properly and just skip ranger tests and we should be
able to have the poms properly automatically changed for snapshot references
during the release process.
The actual artifacts would still be workable as the correct native libs would
be loaded for a given supported environment
