Description:
Much like we can write custom log messages using the {{LogMessage}} processor,
we should be able to write a custom message to Splunk via the {{PutSplunkHTTP}}
processor. Currently it seems there is no direct way to do this. Some
suggestions were made, but they do feel a bit hacky (see discussion).
