Thanks for your quick reply @exceptionfactory. Our primary focus was to develop the Azure Data Explorer sink for NiFi (PR in pipeline) and this Azure Data Explorer processor as a source for NiFi was done to complete the ecosystem involving Azure Data Explorer and NiFi. So we don't have any particular use case for Azure Data Explorer as a standalone source. Maybe we can start with your suggestion to make our processor in line with other source processor and merge this PR.
