Previous refactoring of Repository Encryption support deprecated application
properties for configuring specific repositories in favor of a shared
configuration that applied to all repositories. The refactored implementation
also deprecated static encryption keys in favor of using KeyStores for reading
encryption keys.
The deprecated application properties, along with associated documentation and
implementation code should be removed as part of streamlining efforts for the
next major release version.
