# Summary [NIFI-12033](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-12033) Adds `EncryptContentAge` and `DecryptContentAge` Processors to the `nifi-cipher-nar` supporting the [age-encryption.org/v1](https://age-encryption.org/v1) specification for file encryption. The Processors support the standard ChaCha20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption algorithm for file payloads using chunked streaming as described in the [age payload](https://github.com/C2SP/C2SP/blob/main/age.md#payload) section. The `EncryptContentAge` Processor requires one or more [X25519](https://github.com/C2SP/C2SP/blob/main/age.md#the-x25519-recipient-type) Public Key Recipients, which can be provided using either configuration properties or file resource references. The `EncryptContentAge` Processor also supports configurable File Encoding, defaulting to `BINARY`, but also supporting `ASCII` for Base64 encoding using the PEM standard. The `DecryptContentAge` Processor requires one or more X25519 Private Key Identities. The `DecryptContentAge` Processor is capable of detecting File Encoding using the first several header bytes. The [age-keygen](https://filippo.io/age/age-keygen.1) command can be installed separately for key pair generation and storage based on environment constraints.
