Fix For: 2.0.0
As per community discussion, QuestDB is a candidate for being a default status
history repository from the upcoming 2.x line. In order to be able to do this,
some improvement on the error handling is necessary. This story is a
preparation for that and aims to make it easy to extend the functionality with
these capabilities. Functional change within this ticket is not expected.
