# Summary [NIFI-12252](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-12252) Removes the legacy `FileAuthorizer` implementation, which provided backward compatibility for translating historical user and role mappings to Access Policies. Changes also include removing the `Legacy Authorized Users File` property from `FileUserGroupProvider`. These capabilities supported upgrading from NiFi version prior to version 1.0.0.
