@mosermw - I definitely agree that this can be seen as fixing a bug / unwanted behavior. However, the default value in `nextRecord` has been unchanged for many years so if a breaking change happened between 1.25 and 1.26, I don't think it was in this part of the code. And this change potentially impacts any reader, not just JSON. I'm specifically thinking about flows dealing with XML data. But as I said, I'm not against this backport as long as this is made super clear - and given the ongoing discussion for 1.x EOL, I don't think there would be another release to revert this change if needed. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
