2.4.0 introduced "Flow Action Reporter Interface to Framework API for
extensible tracking for Flow Configuration History"
This is tied to NIP-7: “The FlowActionReporter is designed to allow reporting
of flow changes outside the current framework implementation, {*}such as to an
external auditing system.{*}”
However, for new users, it would be easier to have some additional filtering in
the default product.

The actual user request here is for the filtering to be "in NiFi", but perhaps
the implementation here just needs some sort of canonical external tool? Maybe
it is something Nifi could maintain in a separate? There appear to be 9
actively maintained nifi repos:

I do not want to spend too much time discussing implementation, since we will
not be involved in the implementation. I simply wanted to mention that we are
aware of the new tooling and our user would still like us to file for a more
targeted improvement here.
