[~wojciechwitos] the current behavior of AttributesToJSON routes to the failure
relationship if JSON processing throws an exception. Catching the exception and
logging at the debug level is not a good solution, because it masks the issue.
One option is to consider introducing new optional behavior, but it would be
helpful to clarify the desired behavior before moving to potential code changes.
