   # Summary

   [NIFI-15048](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15048) Refactors the
Confluent Schema Registry Controller Service using the Apache NiFi
`WebClientService` interface and associated implementation.

Refactoring the HTTP client implementation replaces use of the GlassFish
implementation of the Jakarta RESTful Web Services client library with the
standard `WebClientService` built on the Java `HttpClient` class, which is used
throughout the project in most components.

The refactored approach depends on the `nifi-web-client` implementation of
the `nifi-web-client-api`, instead of the `WebClientServiceProvider` Controller
Service, avoiding potential flow configuration changes. Subsequent issues could
consider migrating the configuration to the Controller Service approach.
