I have used the NiFi 1.28 Cassandra processor code and made minor tweaks to
make it compatible with NiFi 2.0 and Cassandra 3.11.x. The processor was built
locally with updated dependencies and small code adjustments. Additionally, it
has been upgraded to use Java 21.
The processor has been successfully added to the NiFi UI (2.0), and basic
operations such as querying and inserting records into Cassandra tables have
been tested using a Cassandra instance.
Please confirm whether adapting the NiFi 1.28 Cassandra processor for NiFi 2.0
with Cassandra 3.11.x is an acceptable approach. Additionally, advise if
upgrading to Cassandra 4.x and DataStax Java Driver 4.x is recommended for
future-proofing and long-term support.
