# Summary [NIFI-15267](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15267) Updates the `StandardControllerServiceNode.enable()` method to perform validation before checking validation status instead of depending on completion of asynchronous validation. Performing initial validation runs in the same `Runnable` command scheduled for Controller Service enabling. Triggering validation for the Controller Service avoids unnecessary waiting for asynchronous validation when the Process Group is configured for standard execution. With validation being paused during startup, checking validation status and rescheduling the Controller Service enable command involves numerous retries, and delays the time to initial processing for flow configurations with large numbers of Controller Services. The initial proposed approach retains the current strategy of rescheduling the enable command when the Controller Service is not valid, providing the opportunity for other dependent Controller Services to become enabled before trying again. The new system test includes a flow configuration with multiple Controller Service instances that require property migration to rename several property descriptors. Property migration for Controller Services triggers the delayed enabling, causing the test to fail without the proposed changes. The test includes a limited timeout on framework initialization, since the proposed resolution reduces startup time to less than 15 seconds on current systems.
