   # Summary

   [NIFI-15403](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15403) Removes the
authorization requirement for `READ` access to the `Flow` resource for calling
the `current-user` method.

The current user method provides information about the authenticated user,
including the identity, logout support status, and current permissions. As the
current user method does not perform any operations, but provides information
about what actions are available to the authenticated user, the requirement for
`READ` on the `Flow` resource is not needed.

Returning a success for an authenticated user also allows the user interface
to determine logout supported status, even when the authenticated user is not
authorized for any other actions.
