Ferenc Gerlits commented on MINIFICPP-2815:
-------------------------------------------
I have tested that MiNiFi can be compiled with Visual Studio 2026 as it is:
CI job: [https://github.com/fgerlits/nifi-minifi-cpp/actions/runs/25801757735]
Create Release Artifacts job:
No changes are needed, the upgrade of the Github runners will not affect us.
> Upgrade to VS 2026, or set CI jobs to stay on VS 2022

> Github runners marked {{runs-on: windows-2025}} will be migrated to Visual
> Studio 2026 starting on 8 June 2026:
> [https://github.blog/changelog/2026-02-05-github-actions-early-february-2026-updates/#windows-server-2025-with-visual-studio-2026-image-now-available-for-github-hosted-runners]
> Check if MiNiFi will continue to build and run when compiled with VS 2026. If
> there are minor issues, then fix them; if there are too many issues to fix
> quickly, then (until all issues are fixed) change the CI jobs {{ci.yml}} and
> {{create-release-artifacts.yml}} to run on {{windows-2022}} as explained in
> the announcement above.
