   # Summary

   [NIFI-16319](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-16319) Corrects the
framework behavior for automatic reloading of keystore and truststore files
referenced through symbolic links, such as provided by Kubernetes Secrets.

The change replaces the previous approach based on file changes from a
`WatchService` and instead uses a SHA-256 digest of the file contents to
determine whether the file has changed.

The configuration properties remain the same, and the digest computation
occurs on each polling interval, resolving the symbolic link on each
invocation. Although this approach requires a streaming read of the file to
compute the digest, the cost is minimal based on the fact of small file sizes
for keystores and truststores.
