-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[~anshusingh] Thanks, it is great there is a page of a current guide stating no
longer that mention, that page being at */nifi-docs/getting-started.html* for
NiFi 2.x I would guess.
And yes, it might be that */docs/nifi-docs/html/getting-started.html* is a
documentation is for an older release, but because it does not mention
explicitly so, or it does not mention for which NiFi versions is valid it
creates a confusion regarding which page is currently true. For me now is
clear, but as long as there are no clearer aspects on that page stating
otherwise the confusion would still be there.
I agree that a decision to redirect to current documentation might be a
solution, but is not a decision for us, but for the website administrators as
stated. Maybe they will decide otherwise and complete that page
({*}/docs/nifi-docs/html/getting-started.html{*}) to underline for which
version of NiFi is true.
Moreover, the confusion of different official Apache sources about NiFi
installation without specifying the version it applies to goes even further to
other pages like
*/docs/nifi-docs/html/administration-guide.html#how-to-install-and-start-nifi*
where again the install procedure is mentioned. Do I consider this true for
older NiFi versions, or do I consider a necessary update to it on its
documentation based on
[NIFI-13677|[https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-13677]] ?
Also, if you consider this is a change to the website, where should I address
this? Because on this issue by selecting *Documentation & Website* component I
thought I was doing as such.
