I will have a look, however, it may be worth to have in mind that RFC3164 is an
informal RFC instead of the more traditional standards as deeply exposed in
here:
http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/syslog_parsing.html
Generally speaking I suggest that in the future you rely in some a bit more
flexible to parse logs, such as ExtractGrok
