Would it not be easier to simple add implements DataSource to the
DBCPConnectionPool class? Then throw MethodNotSupportedException or do a NOOP
on methods.
We created a fascade class around the DBCPService which simply deletes the
getConnection method. Problem solved for use of Spring JDBCTemplates.
