+1 LGTM, ran a full build (with tests and contrib-check) and tested the
Avro-producing SQL processors with logical types on and off, verified the fix
works as described, thanks! #1797 has been merged and I left a comment on
#1788, I will try to cherry-pick the last commit from this PR and see if
everything works as-is (so we don't need to wait for the other PR to be merged
and you don't have to rebase in the meantime)
