Randy Bovay commented on NIFI-4427:
-----------------------------------
How would we identify that we are having filename collisions?
I do have a high volume system, so would like to be able to identify that.
> Default for FlowFile's filename should be the FlowFile's UUID

>
> Currently, when a new FlowFile is created without any parents, the filename
> is set to System.nanoTime(). This is likely to result in filename collisions
> when operating at a high rate and the extra System call could be avoided.
> Since we are already generating a unique UUID we should just use that as the
> filename.
