Sivaprasanna Sethuraman commented on NIFI-543:
----------------------------------------------

[~bende]
[StandardProcessorGroup|https://github.com/apache/nifi/blob/master/nifi-nar-bundles/nifi-framework-bundle/nifi-framework/nifi-framework-core/src/main/java/org/apache/nifi/groups/StandardProcessGroup.java#L4072]
reads processor related properties from the VersionedProcessor and since we
are introducing a [new
method|https://github.com/zenfenan/nifi/blob/b7f60cc5c0d59267487be2cb4417fd692f28ccfe/nifi-nar-bundles/nifi-framework-bundle/nifi-framework/nifi-framework-core/src/main/java/org/apache/nifi/controller/StandardProcessorNode.java#L353]
in StandardProcessorNode, I thought it is better to have the change done for
VersionedProcessor as well... just to be consistent and safe.

> Provide extensions a way to indicate that they can run only on primary node,

> There are Processors that are known to be problematic if run from multiple
> nodes simultaneously. These processors should be able to use a
> @PrimaryNodeOnly annotation (or something similar) to indicate that they can
> be scheduled to run only on primary node if run in a cluster.
