MikeThomsen commented on issue #3332: NIFI-6077 Added force Expression Language switch for properties URL: https://github.com/apache/nifi/pull/3332#issuecomment-467455665 @markap14 if we make access to the variable registry implicit, we'll also need to refactor the current API to focus on `Map` and `FlowFile` objects only for EL evaluation. Not a big deal, but that is something we'll need to make sure we communicate very clearly and probably keep the current API in a deprecated state for a few releases to give third party developers time to adjust.
