rabits edited a comment on issue #3332: NIFI-6077 Added force Expression Language switch for properties PoC URL: https://github.com/apache/nifi/pull/3332#issuecomment-469090126 Ok Guys, Seems this PoC is working - I checked on one nifi instance (not cluster): * UI interface is good now: updates automatically, don't set checkbox if it's not needed & respects readOnly * Templates & flow.xml.gz are containing required forceEl flag in the additional descriptors field * Processors & Context Services are tested (on ListenHTTP w/wo SSL) - working well * Passwords also affected - so we can set the passwords in the variable and sensitive properties will use them Hopefully this PoC PR will help someone to solve issues with variables for current NiFi 1.8/1.9 I had. Looking forward for the new better implementation from you guys.
