The ConnectableTask code performs several checks to determine whether or not a 
given component should be triggered to run. However, this is done without 
catching the general Exception or Error, so if something like an 
OutOfMemoryError is thrown, it could silently fail, resulting in that task no 
longer being executed and without warning.
