When we first explored poco there were some misgivings that caused us to not
that caused us consternation about its inclusion.
POCO is a good general purpose framework without many dependencies, and with
minimal introduced overhead, so it may provide us a great deal of what we offer
via our core in a library that has more overall activity to identify bugs, fix
issues, etc.
