I do not have any special status in terms of my role 'in the community' . The
VP thing just means I'm the winner of the every 3 months board report write up
lottery. Otherwise we all play the same role here.
There are at least 200 outstanding PRs some of which have been around for a
while. It is not easy to always get to PRs and it is especially more
complicated when the services one would test them against are pay for use/etc..
So please be patient and understanding and importantly please take a direct
role in testing/reviewing others contributions. It is important to realize
none of us can task each other here in Apache communities.
