Although our DBCPConnectionPool has options for doing Kerberos authentication,
drivers that under the covers rely on Hadoop's UserGroupInformation won't see
the logged in user from our service. It would be helpful if we had a service
similar to DBCPConnectionPool, but with hadoop-common on the classpath so that
we can handle the the UGI related stuff.
This new service would be similar to a combination of DBCPConnectionPool and
some of the stuff done in Hive3ConnectionPool, but we would not bundle any
Hadoop dependency, and instead the user must specify hadoop-common as part of
the driver dependencies, or a shaded jar that includes it (as phoenix does).
