Joern Kottmann commented on OPENNLP-543:
----------------------------------------
I am using the Apache UIMA Cas Editor plus the OpenNLP plugin and the Corpus
Server to annotate data, but we are trying to move away from that to web based
tooling. For my last annotation effort we used brat which is a web based
annotation tool, but it still lacks any OpenNLP integration. Anyway for my next
annotation project I will probably get the OpenNLP integration for the name
finder implemented, and then use that with a tool to convert the data between
the Corpus Server and brat. We cannot entirely switch to brat because all the
training logic we have is build against the Corpus Server.

> Is there any documentation about the training formats which OpenNLP supports?
> I'm working on a project where we need our own models because the project
> concentrates on specific domains. It would be really great if there is any
> help for building your own models.
> If there is no documentation I would offer my help for creating such a
> documentation but I need someone who helps me with the training formats.
