Hi [~rggiovani], thanks for your interest! This issue actually duplicates
[OPENNLP-108|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENNLP-108] so I am going
to close it in favor of the older issue. Please see that issue for a few more
details on the task.
A lot of material for the whitepaper can likely be pulled from the OpenNLP
[manual|https://opennlp.apache.org/docs/1.8.4/manual/opennlp.html]. In lieu of
a whitepaper you may find simply walking through the documentation and
adding/editing content useful to learning about OpenNLP while allowing you to
contribute. If you have other ideas or want to discuss the task further please
post to the [OpenNLP Users mailing
list|https://opennlp.apache.org/mailing-lists.html].
