--- Comment #7 from tgoessi <[email protected]> ---
This seems to be a problem with the newest version of JRE (32bit) on a 64bit
os.

If you install openoffice on a windows 7 (64bit) or vista (64bit) and you
install the newest JRE version 1.7 v9 (32bit), you get this message as soon as
open office calls a java function.

To install JRE 1.7 as a 64bit version, this does not work either as open office
is 32bit software and does not work with java 64bit versions.

The only solution is to install the older JRE 1.6 (32bit) version on your 64bit
OS and select it under Tools - Options - Java in open office and it works.
You can use both java versions 1.6 and 1.7 side by side on your OS. So you can
use java 1.7 on your browsers.

However, as open office does not work with java 1.7 on 64bit OS is a foolish,
because the older java versions have security leaks and malware could harm the
system.

The developpers should find the problem, that open office has on 64bit OS with
java 1.7 so that only the newest java can be used on PC systems.
