I reinstalled openoffice program because I have been having problems with it
opening files. At first, it wouldn't continue with the installation because it
said I had the program opened, which I did not. I tried again, and it said the
same thing. I rebooted my system and was able to continue with the
installation. Upon trying to open the program, it stops me saying that "This
application failed to start because sofficeapp.dll was not found. Re-installing
the application may fix this program." I have reinstalled the program again and
it asked me to re start my system, which I did, again. Upon opening the program
again, it says the same message. All I have had is problems with this program
since I downloaded it several years ago. I like the program. I have used it
before. But I don't know what to do anymore, and I am not that computer savvy
if you start to ask me about inside my computer. I know my way around my
computer, but when you use those "tech" words of things, I will be lost. I use
OS windows XP. I use firefox for my browser. Above, where it says "component",
I did not understand what those meant: code/ui/www, so I guess I will have to
pick one. I hate to have to find another writing program because I liked this
program in the past. I just don't understand why it work for me anymore.
