But it would be possible to make a "quick and dirty hack" in the import filter and set these flipping in case of 180° rotation. You personally should rotate the picture in an image editing program and insert it in Word already without rotation. You would need to scan the docx documents before trying to convert them, to catch such upside-down pictures. It is really a bug. You can see it at the status "confirmed".
