I have tried the following steps and could not reproduce the problem as described by Marilyn. Steps on Mac: OS: OSX 10.8.2 OO Writer versions: 3.4.1 and 3.5 Email Clients: Gmail, OSX Mail Client 6.2 Document formats used to attach (resume): pdf and odt Steps: 1. Create resume in Writer a. resume with plain text b. resume with OLE Object embedded which is another odt document. OLE Object inserted as a link. 2. Save the document. From within Writer, use menu option File > Send > Document as Email a. Also tried File > Send > Email as PDF 3. Email client Mail 6.2 opens. 4. Send email to an email address which you have access to 5. Logged into a PC with Win 7 Home Premium. This PC Does not have a native email client. Opened gmail web client using Chrome (v24). 6. Downloaded the documents (PDF and ODT) from the email sent in Step 4 from the Mac. 7. Opened the file, I got an error saying filename.odt (embedded OLE Object) has not been downloaded. 8. Attached the odt document created in step 2. 4. logged into MAC, opened mail client 6.2. 5. connect to PC from Mac as the PC is setup to accept remote connections. 6. Downloaded the documents (PDF and ODT) from the email sent in Step 3 from the PC. 7. Opened the file, I got an error saying filename.odt (embedded OLE Object) has not been downloaded. 8.
