I am using Windows XP SP3 on HP laptop. I was not able to replicate issue as such, but was able to change my keyboard customization and set it as such it appears that home and end key perform no function. Please check what are keyboard customizations set in your machine. To check keyboard customizations, here are steps: 1. Select Tools> Customize. 2. Select Keyboard Tab. 3. Select Your Home and end key in shortcuts and view what are they set to do. 4. Mine default says" Go to start of line" for home. Please try these steps and see if it solves the issue.
