Performed the following in order to verify: 1. AutoSave feature turned on: Tools/Options/Load/Save/General - Save AutoRecovery Information every 2 minutes. 1. a document used as 'example' is opened. 2. edit the document and finished and saved *as* 'file1.odt'. 3. modify the contents of the document - do not save 4. after 2 minutes, reboot machine so open office shuts down 5. Once machine restarts, open 'file1.odt' 6. OpenOffic.org Document Recovery option opens with the option 'Start Recovery'. Verified the following options in the Recovery Process (all options were successfully executed): 1.Successful Recovery a. OpenOffice.org Document Recovery: Selected Start Recovery b. Status changes to Successfully recovered - select Next c. Document with changes made with modification made/ but prior to save opens d. Popup appears: The document 'file1.odt' has been modified. Do you want to save your changes? Select Save e. Document is saved with all changes made after initial save with the AutoRecovery option. 2. Do not accept Recovery changes. a. OpenOffice.org Document Recovery: Selected Start Recovery b. Status changes to Successfully recovered - select cancel c. Popup appears 'Are you sure you want to cancel the OpenOffice.org document recovery - select 'Yes' c. Changes made prior to the AutoRecovery are saved to the document. 3. Successful Recovery - changing location of file a. OpenOffice.org Document Recovery: Selected Start Recovery b. Status changes to Successfully recovered - select Cancel c. Popup appears 'Are you sure you want to cancel the OpenOffice.org document recovery - select 'No' c. Popup appears: 'The automatic recovery process was interupted. Document 'file1.odt' appears. Save to option appears. Tested both Changing this location and leaving the location the same. Select Save c. Document with changes made with modification made/ but prior to save opens d.
