I was unsuccessful in replicating the problem that was reported by amoroder2. However, I did identify two scenarios were the settings I chose in the 'properties dialog boxes' were lost when I switched back and forth from 'Formatted Field' to 'Text Box'/ Other Control types. Please refer to the attached documents for the steps that I followed. Item # 1 --> Selection made for 'Text Type' property is not retained. Item # 2 --> Value that was previously entered in the ‘Default text’ field is cleared out. Though the default value was cleared out, I could still see 'Text' text in the text box. This could be a display issue, where just the display in the properties dialog box appears to be blanked out, though the value is held in the buffer. To confirm this, I did try replacing it to 'Date field', then switched back to 'Text Box' – I was able to see 'Text' text in the text box, however the value in the 'Default Text' in properties dialog box was blank. In the above two scenarios, I have done essentially the same test as Beck Chapman – but included 'Default Text' and 'Text Type' properties in my test.
