I tested the following scenario: 1. In Calc sheet: column with 100 rows - unsorted. 2. Sort the column, i e A->Z button 3. Save the sheet as .xls 4. Open up this .xls sheet 5. Result: The column is sorted. I'm marking this issue as RESOLVED/IRREPRODUCIBLE.
