Bug ID: 121903
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: It is no longer possible to open two same files at the
same time
Classification: Application
Product: Writer
Version: AOO400-dev
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: configuration

It is very convenient to be able to open two same files at the same time.
It was possible to do it in the past but it is now unpossible.
When I want to write things, change some sentances or add some commentaries
allways at the end or at a certain part of a document (e.g.: the bibliography,
where a set of figures are placed or the introduction), it is very confortable
to be able to write at two parts of your file just by selecting alternatively
two windows, instaed of draging the cursor up & down in order to write
forewards or afterwards.
Microsoft has been aware of this problem, since it is now possible to cut the
Word window into two parts, so that the Word user can write at two different
places of the file. But it is a wrong answer to the problem, since the two
parts of the word windows are very thin and therefore very unconfortable.
This is why, I am asking you, please, to reintroduce the possibility of opening
two windows of the same file (And any change made in one window should be
registred in the other).
