It's not really about the VBA macros. The problem is with the DDE links. That file just happens to have VBA macros, which are not even used. Starting IQ Feed via IQ Link Launcher before opening the XLS file does work, but it does NOT work when opening the XLS file directly and clicking "Update links" in the OpenOffice dialog.
