I have been trying to figure out how to type in Japanese text for hours now,
and haven't found anything related to how to fix this issue. or rather, the one
instruction I found would only work if I downloaded an IME (such as Microsoft
JapaneseIME) except it didn't list any other IME options and when I downloaded
and tried to install the one from Microsoft it wouldn't finish installing
because I don't own Microsoft Office. <---this is literally what the error
message said. I am a Japanese Major at my university, and I can't afford to buy
Microsoft Office, let alone Microsoft Word, but I need to be able to type in
Japanese to write Papers among other things for my major. Please assist me in
finding an IME that will correct this issue, or linking me to a page on your
webpage that will give me a downloadable file. Understand me correctly, I do
not want or need my native language settings set to Japanese, I just need to
type in Japanese.
Thank you for reading and considering a solution for me as I desperately need
this function and haven't been able to locate it in the forums, downloads
section etc.
