            Bug ID: 122179
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Save As crashes Writer after typing first letter of
                    new filename
    Classification: Application
           Product: Writer
           Version: AOO 3.4.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows Vista
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: save-export
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

After creating a new document (odt) in Writer and want to save the file, if I
open the Save As dialog box, highlight the default file name and click delete
to remove it, then as soon as I type the first letter of the new filename, Open
Office freezes.

Occurs:
* Whenever I create a NEW documentin Writer and use "Save As" and
highlight, then delete, the default filename before typing the new filename
* If I open an existing filename, use "Save As" and use backspace to delete the
existing filename
* When I use Save As on an existing filename and delete the whole name, then
try to type in a new name.
* Whether I save to a local disk or to a network disk location.

Does not occur:
* If I use Save As and leave the filename the same
* If I just change one letter of the existing filename (eg flyer1.odt to
flyer2.odt)

Notes:
There is no content saved in a newly created file after auto-recover is run.

Workaround: Use Save rather than Save As to save the file using the default
Untitled1.odt, then close the file and use Windows Explorer to rename the file
to the desired filename.
