The spots also appear in Impress and Draw in the "Slide Design" dialog.

A new blank document:

- In Impress:
1. Choose 'Format - Slide Design'.
The "Slide Design" dialog displays the "Default" slide design
   with black spots.
2. Press 'Load...' to open the "Load Slide Design" dialog.
3. Select "Presentation Backgrounds" in the "Categories" and then
   any of available templates.
4. Press 'OK' to close the dialog.

Result: the selected template contains spots as well.

- in Draw:
1. Right click anywhere in the working area.
2. In the context menu choose 'Page - Slide Design'
3. Press 'Load...' to open the "Load Slide Design" dialog.
4. Select "Presentation Backgrounds" in the "Categories" and then
   any of available templates.
5. Press 'OK' to close the dialog.
